Cranberry Salsa recipe
Spice up any meal with this festive Cranberry Salsa! The tangy, sweet-tart flavor of fresh cranberries is the perfect accompaniment to holiday dinners, weeknight meals, and lovingly prepared ham or turkey dishes. Bring the zesty flavor of cranberries to any dinner with this delicious salsa. This condiment is quick to prepare and can be made a day or two in advance; make it ahead of time and chill until Thanksgiving dinner, then use for leftovers!
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped finely
- ¾ c. minced green onions
- 1 jalapeno pepper
- ½ c. green bell pepper, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 tsp cumin
- ¾ c. white sugar
- salt to taste
Directions:
Seed and mince jalapeno pepper. Set aside.
Rinse and drain cranberries, picking over and discarding any that are discolored, soft or bruised.
In food processor combine cranberries, cilantro, green onions, jalapeno, pepper, lime juice, cumin, and salt. Chop to medium consistency or until all ingredients are minced and combined.
Refrigerate in airtight container 4 hours or overnight.
