Cranberry Hot Toddy recipe
A hot toddy is the perfect drink to warm up with after a day of playing in the snow. Snuggle up on the couch with this toddy-inspired cocktail and enjoy the flavors of the holidays in a truly comforting fashion. A piping hot drink featuring cranberry juice, brandy and orange slices is simply the perfect way to end a long winter day.
Ingredients:
- 3 c. fresh cranberry juice
- ¼ c. fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp. Brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp almond extract
- ½ c. white zinfandel wine
- ½ c. brandy
- Sliced oranges for garnish.
Directions:
In large saucepan combine cranberry juice, orange juice, sugar, almond extract, wine and brandy. Cook uncovered until it begins to simmer. Reduce heat.
Pour into 4 to 5 heat-resistant mugs and garnish with orange slices. Serve immediately.
