Cranberry Stuffing Balls recipe
What are stuffing balls? They are meatballs filled with a festive holiday stuffing blend. It's a savory, seasonal recipe that you can serve over noodles, vegetables, or right next to the turkey with a side of gravy.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound Italian sausage
½ pound her-seasoned stuffing mix
½ cup chopped celery
¼ cup chopped onion
1 egg
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup chopped cranberries
¼ cup melted butter
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 325°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2) Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add sausage, onion, and celery; cook until sausage is browned, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat; drain and discard fat.
3) In a large bowl, beat the egg; add sausage mixture, stuffing mix, broth, and cranberries. Mix well.
4) Use hands to form the mixture into about eight large balls. Place balls on prepared sheet and drizzle the tops with butter. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, until well browned. Cool slightly and serve warm.

Reviews and Comments:
Very good recipe. I would make the balls about the size of meatballs, my first try they were too large.
